Purpose

The goal for this website would be to offer a different perspective on the hobby of fishing.  Many other sites are designed to be flashy, loud, and are designed to do one thing, sell products.  My idea is to put together a site that would focus on the entire hobby. 

Yes that means equipment and opinions will be a part of what we do here, however my idea is to also focus on what the hobby means to me.  The sport adds to my life in many ways, such as strengthens my relationship with my son, provides moments of calm and peace, and excitement by chasing those largemouths around the lake!  My hope is that this site inspires those who are not professional fisherman to get out and try the sport on their own.

I am in no way a professional fisherman…. I guess that is the point of The Typical Fisherman!
